About Lake Gaston
Lake Gaston is a sprawling 20,000-acre reservoir situated along the North Carolina-Virginia border, renowned for its 350 miles of scenic shoreline. It’s a favorite destination for water sports enthusiasts, offering excellent opportunities for boating, skiing, fishing, and more. Formed by the Gaston Dam on the Roanoke River, the lake features multiple recreational areas, including the popular Lake Gaston Day Use Area in Littleton, NC, which provides public access to swimming, fishing, and picnicking facilities.
The lake is especially popular for motorboating, water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, sailing, and jet skiing.
